The Alps come to South West London

A new après ski experience in South West London

Following the release of his cookery book, catering guru, Jimmy Maverick, has brought a taste of Swiss après ski to South West London in the form of alpine “pop up” “The Lodge”. This new mountain-style restaurant is proudly sponsored by Verbier, with Provins wines and Morand liquors as partners.

The Verbier atmosphere flows through this new restaurant, giving diners the perfect opportunity to experience the après-ski of the 4-Valleys snowy mountains. In the anticipation of starting their next ski trip to the mountains, instead of dining at a mountain restaurant at the top of a gondola, Londoners can now sample amazing alpine cuisine and après-ski activities at the Lodge, just opposite Clapham North underground station. An exciting start to their alpine experience where, once inside, guests are transported to the heart of Verbier’s food scene in this stunning mountain-style retreat designed by Firecracker Works. It’s a chance to get all cosy in front of an open fire, sample some tasty canapés washed down by a refreshing cocktail. And don’t forget the wonderful range of Swiss cheese!

Verbier, the capital of freeriding, is proud of it’s reputation as a winter playground for ski enthusiasts looking to challenge themselves the most daring wintersports available. The most advanced skiers can explore a range of adrenaline-fuelled activities in Verbier. This atmosphere of adventure, a relaxed, friendly environment and innovation is also encapsulated in Jimmy’s menu at “The Lodge”. Why not get into the Verbier spirit and get a taste of the après-ski that awaits you when you spend your ski break at a cosy holiday chalet or apartment in Verbier or one of the many other popular Swiss ski.
